Place in Chile that I would like to visit again.

A couple of years ago, I visited Caldera, in the Atacama region, where Bahía Inglesa beach is located a few kilometers away, renowned for its turquoise waters amidst the semi-arid coastline. I went with two friends and university companions for a few weeks; we arrived by plane. We visited the beach, hired a geotour that showcased some geological and geomorphological formations in the area, inherited from a tropical climate long ago. We also visited Playa la Virgen, which was very beautiful, with turquoise waters and white sands. We explored the local craft fairs, a nearly empty nightclub (which was both sad and funny). I greatly enjoyed spending time with my friends and swimming at the beaches. On this occasion, it was the first time I swam out to the buoys near the coastline; it was exhausting. Sometimes I get nervous while swimming, and then I remember that I should relax and float. It's truly a very beautiful place. I used to disregard the northern landscapes because I prefer g

Something I enjoy doing outdoors

Imagen
Hi, in this blog I'm going to talk about things I enjoy doing outdoors. Actually, I don't spend much time outdoors, obviously it's something I would like to do much more often than I currently do. However, when I do go out, I enjoy biking, visiting parks, and trekking. I also would like to get better at rollerblading to venture out more frequently and safely. I recently learned to rollerblade, a few months ago. Mainly, I've skated in Parque 3 Poniente and in Parque San Borja, near the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Chile. I like it because I feel fast and free while moving, even though I fall many times! There's always laughter about that. In the future, I'd like to be able to go to Cerro San Cristóbal and climb it as many times as my body allows until I'm exhausted. Currently, walking dogs in parks is something I enjoy. I love watching the animals play, entertain themselves, get to know each other, and interact, although sometimes it makes me

Interesting people I follow on social media

In this blog I’m going to talk about a violín soloist Hilary Hahn.   She has won 3 Grammy awards and is an excellent violinist whom I discovered when I started playing the violin in 2017, looking for references for this instrument. Since then, I listen to her because her performances are perfect. You can't watch her play without seeing her dedication, discipline, and interest in the absolute perfection characteristic of classical music. I admire her because, while she is one of the best violinists today, her attitude on and off the stage is humble. She isn't overly expressive in her performances like other violinists who can be annoying to watch. My favorite performances to watch from her are Mendelssohn's OP 64 Concerto, Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1, and Paganini's Caprices. Other performances include Bach - Chaconne, Partita No. 2 in D minor BWV 1004. In each presentation, I love to hear every perfectly tuned note and every precise movement. I also enjoy watching

A Job

Imagen
Hello, in this blog, I will talk about a job I would like to have in the future. I would like to be a Geography teacher since I have always enjoyed teaching, education is something that I am passionate about. However, before teaching, I would like to work for a few years in the public sector in offices responsible for disaster risk management. I believe I have the necessary qualities to teach; I am patient and would like to implement teaching methods that are closer to the students, fostering a less hierarchical relationship between teachers and students. I would like to teach Geography because I believe it is an empowering and territorial knowledge that interacts with students' popular knowledge, their bodies, experiences, and lives. It allows them to recognize themselves as actors in a territory and take agency in the social and environmental reality, such as in socio-environmental conflicts, phenomena of gentrification, territorial planning processes, water management, clima

Cultural radar part 2

Second part: My cultural radar. Currently Madonna is giving her world tour "Celebration tour" and although my anger with her because she is supporting Israel in the massacre against Palestine, I recognize her ability to do amazing shows. On the other hand, on Netflix there is a makeup competition reality that I like so much. Some competitors makes truly artworks with make up that impress me. About movies, recently I've seen Scary movie, because make me lot of laugh, I saw it when I was a kid. Also, my favorite book is Demian, I feel reflected in that lore. Madonna performing Nothing really matters (1998) in Celebration Tour.

First part Slavoj Zizek is a slovenian philosopher and cultural theorist. He was born in Ljubljana in 1949. He has published more than 50 books and hundreds of essays and articles. This section of on my radar it's about some curious tastes of him, like reading books where his opinion is nor replicated, because the opposite forces him to rethink everything. The above it's something that call my attention, because strengthens discussion and the ability to reasonably refute, or take other points of view. Also,  it's about the tastes of TV series, music and food.
